I wanted this for a 3D printed holder for my cell phone. The head on this tripod did not tilt quite 90 degrees (for vertical format photos) until i used a hobby knife to carve out the tilt slot a little deeper. It was also necessary to loosen the screw at the bottom and rotate the legs a bit for greatest stability when tilted, then re-tighten the screw. The unit now works as I desired and holds the phone steady in both vertical and horizontal position. I use it for taking stand-off selfies on bike tours and hikes. The phone holder was adapted from thingiverse Thing #582485 and fit the tripod perfectly.
